I have wound rubber bands around the ends of all my brushes. When I'm done painting for the day and after washing the brushes, I use the rubber bands to hang the brushes points down ensuring that water drains out of the ferrule. I have hooks on the side of my refrigerator and in the studio where I hang the brushes overnight.
